Mid-level high pressure begins to build back over the Central Plains today. Today will be sunny and cool as highs are forecast to be in the lower to middle 40s. Another cold and clear night expected with lows dipping into the 20s.


Monday-Thursday: Zonal flow sets up across the central US next week which will bring dry and quiet weather. Expect a gradual warming trend through early next week as south to southwest winds return. Daily highs will be in the 50s and lows in the 30s. Additionally, will continue to monitor forecast trends with for fire weather concerns with the finer fuels.


Confidence is still low for rain Friday into Saturday due to the disagreement in the model solutions. Some guidance suggest an upper level low translating through the central US, with varying locations and timing.
