Thursday July 15

Another hot day across the area with temps in the low to mid 90s, index values will again be close to the 100 marker. We do have a shot for severe weather late afternoon into the overnight period. All modes of severe weather will be possible. Forecast does have rain in the forecast over the weekend as well, don't expect a rainout but do plan on spotty showers/storms.

Comparing the models...

Both HRRR and NAM do suggest storms impacting the area after 8 PM. Both have the same style of system so my confidence is a little higher that we will see a line of storms moving into the area during the night and overnight into Friday morning. I will go more into detail with severity in the RAG. I will have an updated RAG later this evening I want to see the evening model data before posting.

With the above normal rain for the month of July this has allowed temps to be cooler than normal, and it appears the trend will continue for the remainder of the month. Possibly into August, no complaints here!
